The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay if want one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a set route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 get more info percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
