Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is renowned for its quiet, powerful appliances. It has a beautiful design, excellent navigation and a powerful cleaning power. It has some oddities in its operation, which prevent it from being ranked as the top smart robot vacuum.

Like iRobot's latest models like the RX2 has a dual-sensor mapping system that uses an LIDAR sensor to map the space and a pair of 3D scanning cameras to detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real time. Once mapped, the app lets you assign virtual no-go areas and preferred areas that the robot will clean automatically. Its navigation abilities were also impressive and its overall score on carpet and bare floors beat out the competition and it picked up 98.5 percent of the surface pet hair and litter from our laboratory test samples.

Its controls are a bit simpler than competitors. There's a round cleaning button on the top, and you can access it via the app, or by voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also set a schedule for daily or weekly cleans, create no-go zones, and see its history of cleaning. Clad in smart dark gray plastics, Ion feels sturdy and looks stylish in your home. The dust bin on the rear is easily accessible for emptying, and removing the filters is also easy.

5. Eufy 11S

Eufy 11S is an excellent choice if you want an automated vacuum cleaner that is simple and doesn't have any frills at a cost that is low. It doesn't have many of the more advanced features, such as digital mapping and Alexa integration, found in higher-end models but if you're not looking for these functions, you can save money by purchasing this model.
